Five Things Single Women Wished Men Knew

Five Things Single Women Wished Men Knew

Comic on miscommunication

I interviewed a number of single women asking them what they wished men knew. And they answered. So here are the top five things:

1. If you try striking up a conversation with her and it doesn't go well, try again.
  •  If you talk to a woman and she seems distracted or uninterested...
    • A good rule of thumb is to try three times before giving up.
      • Spread it out,
        • Try three separate occasions.
    • That first time or two may have to do with:
      • Poor timing,
      • A friend's drama
      • Or personal embarrassment
    • If you like her, give her a second chance.
  • This is not to get confused with...

2. If You Ask A Woman Out and She Says No...It Really means...
  • No
  • The ball is now in her court if she changes her mind, she already knows your interested,
    • so now it's hers to deal with.

3. Deodorize:
  • I know you may be an all natural guy.
    • But under arm smells can be harmful to your cause.
    • Also little known fact, shorter armpit hair=less smell and it looks nicer.
    • So:
      • Trim those pits.
      • Wear deodorant
      • Take showers
      • Put on a clean shirt

4. Think Of Her Safety.
  • No first dates on your couch.
    • If you don't know her well it's creepy.
    • If you do know her it comes off as lazy
    • More on first dates here.
  • Let her meet you there.
    • Again if you don't know each other well...
      • dating 101 says do not put yourself into a steel contraption that goes only where the driver wants it to go.
      • It's not personal, it's safety, and you like her, right?
        • So her safety should count for something

5. Get to Know Her Friends:
  • Men, women talk to their friends about you.
  • If you want the relationship to continue, her friends liking you is more powerful then you can imagine.
  • This is not a VS. thing where you make them like you better than her.
  • Have normal conversations with the friends if they are in the room.
  • Remember their names.
  • Smile, don't flirt, but be kind to them.
