10 Commercials I Watched as a Kid That
Shaped My Adult Hood
- Reynolds Wrap Ladies – I bake in tinfoil, wrap things in tinfoil, and love mutli colored plastic wrap.
- I'm a Toy R Us Kid – makes me still excited to enter a Toys R Us and know I have purchasing power http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcyslT8U0Pw
- Double Mint Gum – made me believe if I had an identical twin I would be married by now http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9XJJwAZgAA0
- Tucan Sam – I realize now I had the vague notion that Tucans had large noses, instead of the truth they have large beaks. And beaks are bird's mouths. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SbfYuwWMJso
- I wrote a letter to the Snapple lady, believing she was truly going to show up with a large amount of Snapple. She did send a coupon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yjbeZqvXhIE
- I Can't Believe It's Not Butter, had the word butter in big letters on the large tub my parents had. So I don't think I realized it wasn't actually butter til years later. And the commercial taught me who Fabio was. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xszIaNpYILY
- My hot pink Barbie Ferrari was a must have when I was five. I don't think I realized Ferrari was a car real people had til many many years later.
- If I drank milk by the time I reached high school I was going to be gorgeous and dating a handsome guy.
- With Hitruments, Rock Band didn't seem like a new idea. But I can't find any recent proof that this commercial existed. It was on a site but has been pulled down.
- And finally Nintendo Wii didn't seem like a new idea either http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kYYiRmtMH4I do not own the images or links in this blog. They are used for commentary purposes only.
