My older brother was fantastic, while growing up he taught me everything that was important...
- I played computer games, Nintendo, and lazer tag
- I knew Dos commands, Star Wars trivia, and how Napster worked
- I watched WWF, Highlander, and Hercules
- I could quote Dr. Strange Love, Army of Darkness and The Holy Grail
But there was one area my brother never introduced me to, it was a gaping hole in both of our educations...
Comic Books.
Of course I read:
- The Funnies (in the paper)
- Archie Comics (from the neighbor girls)
- And Peanuts
But we did not have any Super Hero Comics...and so it wasn't till I got to LA did I realize what I was missing.
With the help of concerned friends and co-workers, I've started to catch up a bit on this interesting element. And found out some of my friends make comics as well:
Scrooge and Santa (family friendly for the holiday season)
Axe Cop (an internet comic made up by a five year old and illustrated by his older brother.)
The Ray Gun (the first issue only, but it makes me really excited to see what's next)
Cupcake Pow (stuff that girls like speaking out)
Cupcake Pow (stuff that girls like speaking out)
Anyways, all of this made me want to have a piece of clothing that was super hero esque. Throw in a skirt I got from a clothing exchange (it was an awkward length) and you have the Super Skirt.

If you need more, there are batman themed hair bands at Eclectic Little Birds. They entered onto my radar, when they donated hair bands to raise money for IJM at our churches recent Alternative Christmas Market.
